Beetles, peaches, Neem Oil?

Greetings, These fellows got onto the peaches. We've removed the peaches and drowned the beetles. I've never used Neem Oil. Would this have been a good place for it's use? Would you spray the tree before the fruit is ripe, after the fruit has been picked, or?
I've never seen these creatures before, that I can remember Thanks

Richard

We spray the apple trees while they are in bloom. But that was for the worms not beetles.

Greetings Ohio Tiller, So, I guess it will stay on the tree and protect even after fruiting?

When you spray, do you use Neem Oil?

With the worms in apples they lay in the flower and the larva grows inside the fruit. We took an old uncared for tree and turned it into an apple producing monster. Even lost some branches last year they were so loaded down. We only spray when in full bloom.

There were birds in the tree, I thought they might be eating the fruit, buy they were after the beetles.
