alpine strawberries

ok so I have 2 of each, red yellow and white alpine strawberries, my problem is they don't seem to be doing much. the grew fast but peaked at a rather small size. they have been fruiting but the fruits get to be maybe 1.5 inches long tops and very narrow. these shrivel up maybe 6 days after they start to fruit. is california too warm of a climte for these? and if so is there any other yellow breeds that I can grow

Alpine strawberries are small. I think you just need to pick them earlier.
