Newly planted papaya. What am I doing wrong?

We had planted them about a week ago when they were fully green. Since we transplanted we added some steer manure with the soil and have watered them daily. Yesterday was the first day I stopped watering them daily. I thought maybe I was watering them too much. Some leaves have turned yellow. What should I do to fix this?

I have had some adverse reactions to manure. I acted on the conclusion that the manure was too strong with nitrogen, and began flushing the plants with water. It helped, my plants bounced back, but it took awhile. Maybe your papaya will do better if you resume watering everyday. Perhaps someone else here has a more solid answer for you, but I would try watering heavily to flush the soil a bit of the manure. My mantra with my plants was, as long as they stay alive, I don't care if they thrive, LOL!
