Another Blackberry Question

Here is my blackberry bush. It has produced runners and created another offshoot. Should I cut the offshoot off so the main plant will grow better?

Mine looked exactly the same a week ago. Now the off shoot is taller and thicker than the main hardwood branch and is still green. Let them grow and bush for now.
I don't think you worry about pruning until your rowing, and producing fruit.
