White powder on nectarine fruit

This moring I noticed a white powder on my nectarine fruit. I am not sure how old the tree is, but it is only about 8' tall. It is not on every fruit and the powder appears to be sitting on top of the fruit. It is the consistancy of powdered sugar.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. I am in Corona, CA where temperatures right now are low to mid 80's and I water the tree every 2-3 days.
