question on growing strawberries

I recently got the strawberry's that are already grown where the stem is ripped off and the roots are all tied up together and planted them putting them around the windows and 1 under a florescent light.

What would be a good fertilizer to use for stawberry's?
and how long do they take the grow back into a plant?

I would recommend getting a long enough fluorescent light s that you can put ALL of them under it and keep it aout 3 inches from the top of the plants. These are what you call bare root plants. It means that they dig them from the nursery and snip off all the dead leaves. The part that all the roots come to is the crown of the plant. About half of that should be in the ground and half out. The leaves will grow up from that soon. I recommend fertilizing it with liquid fish emulsion. This can be found at most nurseries. Good Luck!

One addition NG7 ...strawberries usualy take 60 days from start of growth to cropping.
This will vary slightly according to weather and temperature.
