Success question on dwarf citrus trees
Ok, I've been thinking about getting a dwarf lime tree for a WHILE now, but I'm still not sure it'll do well inside. Any thoughts? I'd be getting it after my move to Boston. The house is perpetually warm due to awesome insulation and I have experience with container gardening but not with citrus.

Hello aaradyn. Ken here in the Chicago area. Welcome to HG.
Citrus trees can be grown indoors with no problems. You need to provide
the proper environment and light, water, and soil.
Place your lime tree in a south or southwest window to take advantage of
the most light you can get. During the winter you will need to supplement
the outdoor light with full spectrum bulbs or plant lights. A cheaper way is to
use a warm white and a cool white fluorescent bulb in the same fixture.
Your lime will need humidity to do well indoors. Place it on a tray of pebbles
filled with water to the top of the pebbles. You can also mist your lime with a
spray bottle of water to increase humidity in the winter.
For soil, use a well-draining citrus/cactus potting mix.
