Planting times of jujube (red date) from seeds?

I've gotten some Jujube seeds from a friend of mine and I'm not sure when to plant them after I germinate them, I live in northern Jersey so the first frosts aren't here yet (and I probably just jinxed it :? ) so should I just plant them in the ground or should I wait until spring?

pretty sure they'll do better if you plant them outside now (protected from digging pests), or some other stratification method (keeping them moist in a fridge for 4-5 months would do it to)...they may have other germination inhibitors, too, though. a friend and I have tried germinating the seeds the last three years without success.

you say 'where to plant after germination,' but I think you'll find trouble just germinating them under 'normal' indoor seed starting conditions.
