Trouble with cantaloup
I have cantaloup in 2 places. The first is a raised planter (18 in deep). The second is in a ground level planter. The cantaloup in the raised planter are doing terrible. The sprout quickly enough but then they grow at a snails pace. Very few small flowers and no fruit. I have amended the soil with bags of soil amendments that I got from the O.C. Farm supply. I also dig into each planting hole a little Dr Earth Tom, Veg, & Herb food, worm castings, rock dust, and Neptune's Harvest Crab Shell. My squash and tomatoes do great with this mix. In the other planter the soil is far less rich with just a little mulch dug in. These plants are doing great. Any thoughts?
