Some members are interested in Fruit trees and bushes. I walk around and took pictures. I'll post some here and the rest are there.

I purchased 10 rootstock of each, M9 on M111 apple ( M9 interstem), Myrobalan plum, Mazzard cherry and OHxF 282 pear. They came from Burnt Ridge nursery 1997. Then in 1999 I purchased many different scions including Wolf River from Burnt Ridge. I'll take a better picture of Wolfy.applestar wrote:Wolf River Apple -- where is the trunk!
Wow that tree is really loaded. How old is it? Did you prune a lot last time?
They are all looking very healthy. Do you spray them and what kind of spray schedule do you use?
...I'm thinking your secret is all the duck "traffic"...
No spraying, unless you consider pond water or compost tea as spraying. Tent caterpillars were bad this year. Ladder and pruners took care of them. I almost reached for the BT. Last year and the year before I had trouble with Currant Worm.
Duck traffic, berms and swales. My orchard is setup like my garden or the other way around. The orchard was first. All compost, clippings, chippings go on the berms, not wasted in the swales. Occasionally I flood the swales with duck pond water.
