Combo cherry tree?

I have the option of buying a multi fruit cherry tree. It grows rainer, black tartarian, stella and bing. My question is will the tree continue to grow all the varieties for years to come? Also is there greater chance of disease or other problems because its a multi fruit tree?
Thank you

Hi Kurite.

Like all of these multi variety ( Family ) trees you have to be aware of the one great problem.
It is just a fact of nature that some varieties will grow stronger than others,
If they are all grafted onto the same tree then some of them will become more dominant than others over the years. If left untouched then they will eventually become the overiding variety on that tree.
So....each summer ..( Cherries and plums are pruned in the summer...unlike other top fruit trees)...you will have control the more dominant ones with carefull pruning so that they all have a fair chance.

As to desease...providing the tree shows no sign of canker or damage at each of the graft unions , they should be fine.
