Should I water my strawberries after I mulched it for winter

Should I water my strawberries after I mulched it for winter?

This is the 1st time I'm doing this & don't know if I should water them.
I'm worried about the grass mulch going bad is I do & that the water held in the mulch will freeze up.

Will the plants survive without water for 3 months if mulched?

I would not water ,they wont be growing until your spring comes round .
My strawberries live in the ground and probably get plenty of winter rain and snow through the leaves I mulch with .
