Interesting. I wasn't sure if pears got them since none of my pears do, but I think what JONA posted is same as what we call "Cedar-apple rust". I spray my apple trees with 10% (actually more like 12%) milk solution as preventive, and remove/trash all affected leaves.
It seems a bit early to be getting them though? I don't start seeing the spots until later in June when the muggy humid weather starts.

Hi Sheila.....sorry I spelt your name the wrong way round first time,
As Star says...it is a little early for Rusts to start showing but I stil think that it may well be the best guess.
They do start off with small dots and these enlarge to the bigger ones as they develope.
May plants get various Rusts. (If you grow fushsias you will find them quite often as the season progresses.)
Look out for the gall like growths under the leaves....any sign of them and it will confirm it is a Rust.

OK, this site says this: The symptoms first appear on new growth of the
lowest branches and spread upward. The first
symptom of entomosporium is tiny, circular, bright
red spots on both and upper and lower surfaces
of young leaves
mine started at the top branches? and it just doesnt' seem to look like the pictures. maybe 1 picture. but it is on my peach too or my peach has something different. the leaves are like bulging weird. My property is a fungus haven. I have so many issues with fungus in my garden and everything it is insane. Not sure why? thoughts? right now I am frustrated. I'm not really sure what to do.
