My olive tree won't fruit

Hello all, I have a Black Mission Olive tree thats wont fruit. The trunk caliper is around 3" and the tree is around 10' tall and 6' wide. Its trained to one main trunk with nice scaffolding in the branches... We are zone 9A I was told that it would fruit here is that true...

It sounds fine to me but I am not a Black Olive person. However, I always thought that these trees do not immediately bear fruit but rather, must mature first in order to produce olives. So depending on the cultivar, one could end up waiting a really long time. Have you researched Black Mission to see about how long must one wait? Do not be shocked of waits as long as 10 years or more sometimes.

:shock: I'm in shock. I hope it doesnt take that long... I've searched the internet and could find only historical data on the mission olive. No plant data though.
