Can anyone help me identify what this is? It is growing in my Lemon tree pot, and has just started in my Lime tree pot as well. I noticed the first one about a week ago, and I knocked it off the side of the pot. It is hard, almost like a dirt dobber nest. The next day, there was a new one, and I knocked that one off as well. Now there are three of these on my lemon tree pot, and one in my lime tree pot. The one in my lime tree pot is more pink than yellow. If you can identify it, please let me know if I need to get rid of it, or just let it be. I'm in Houston, by the way.

As I was looking things up this morning, that's what I suspected as well. However, everything that I can find on slime mold indicates that it is moist, and the pictures that I have seen look like it is pretty amorphous. This stuff, on the other hand, is solid, and every time I've seen it it has been in this oval/spherical shape. At the same time, like a mold or fungus, it seems to appear almost overnight.
