What fruit is this???

Hi all... I'm from South Africa and spend alot of time bush-whacking... Today I came across this fruit... I know they are poisonous, but as for the name I'm completely lost... Is there anyone who can identify it???

Here's the pics... It's like a very hard tomato...

I'll go back to where I saw them and collect a few, cut them open and then post better pics of the actual 'flesh'... Maybe that will get me closer to whether they actually are edible... Seeing they grow wild here be nice to add them to my garden...

Hello, It appears to be part of the nightshade family. The common name is Thorn Apple or Bitter Apple. I'm going to throw my hat in the ring and say its (Solanum incanum) :D

I'm going to say Solanum incanum as well. It's a nuisance weed for me, so I'm pretty familiar with it.
