Hi all... I'm from South Africa and spend alot of time bush-whacking... Today I came across these berries and for some reason I vaguely remembered them from my childhood, but whether we could eat them or not has alluded me... lol. Is there anyone who can identify them and tell me if they are poisonous? I did the whole survival test by rubbing a broken berry on the soft skin of my inner forearm, after 20 minutes there was no sign of irritation, swelling or rash so I'd go as far as to assume they are edible... Unfortunately I'm not that confident... Please help???
Here's the pics...
