Buying fruit trees online

Hey,

I'm looking into buying some zone 10 fruit trees online (hopefully dwarf). I was wondering if you guys preferred any sites or new some sites to stay away from.

Also I was wondering what the difference is between the plants that sell anywhere from $10-$200 but on the same site. ( example [url]https://www.willisorchards.com/product/FlordaKing+Peach+Tree?category=252[/url])

I'm sure I left a lot of questions out please send me any info that you think will be helpful.

In the example you give, the less expensive specimens are given by height (4 - 5' tall and such). Note that their diameter, measured by calipers, is not provided. Hmmm...wonder why?

The specimens at the expensive end of the scale ($175 and $200) are 2" or 3" in diameter; sturdy trees! They've probably been grown for five to seven years, which represents a substantial investment of someone's time and care, esp. with peaches, given that they're susceptible to fireblight and some other stone-fruit-specific ailments, so for every beautiful large specimen, who knows how many didn't make it? The $200 price needs to cover some of that effort, too.

Does that help explain some of the difference?

You know, ive always wanted to buy some trees and looked around, the only place that I found cheap was this one https://www.henryfields.com/ when I signed up for there newsletter they sent me a free shipping on any Tree! and the one I wanted was a walnut tree but knowing that those are bad for tomatoes I let it sliped, but You should check it out.

Yeah I tried one in more of my urban area and it didn't have much. I'm going to try to go farther south to where more of the farms are next time. If any one lives down here and knows of one let me know.

Hello, In Miami I would recommend zill high performance plants of lake Worth Fl.. They have several different types of FULL GROWN zone 10 fruit trees and they are real nice people to boot. If its growing in Miami it likley originated at Zills. They also sell fresh mangos $10 per 5 gallon bucket. I load up on fresh mangos every time I go. They are wholesalers so talk nice and they will give you wholesale pricing. I picked up a 100 gallon Lancitilla mango tree for 400.00 it was 12 feet tall with a 5" trunk calliper. Hope this helps.
