Any Benefits of Growing from Seed?
We Know it takes Years for a fruit tree to produce and its likely that it won't be same variety of fruit due to cross polination, and we know buying a grafted tree is better but is there any good benefits from growing out of Seeds?
SELF SATISFACTION.
To grow something that is unique and to produce a fruit that you can name as your own. What could be better.
I know that's not exactly what you asked .....but it is the best answer I can think of.
In practical terms I can think of no real natural reason or you would have to ask ..' why have we spent the last two thousand years trying to avoid growing top fruit from seed' .
