Are my citrus trees ruined for good?

This is our first year growing citrus trees. We had a frost a couple of days and we covered them with tarp - we didn't have anything else big enough to cover them. When we took the tarp off, they looked like this. Are they gone or will they come back? :(
We live in North FL

(Sorry if this is in the wrong group - I didn't know if I should post it in fruit or trees)

Thank you for all your help.
Celia

They should be fine. I live in New Orleans and before Katrina killed my citrus trees, they survived a few frosts and a couple that lasted a few days below freezing.

My late father-in-law had a place in central La. and it got colder there in the winter each year and his citrus trees survived many more nights below freezing than we experienced in SE La.

Thanks for your replys. We were sick when we saw them. We thought we lost them. Do we need to cover them at all or is it better to?
