Melons are very difficult to grow in places with either short growing seasons or where it isn't very hot in the Summer. If they are blooming now and haven't set yet, there probably isn't much chance they will ripen. Sorry. If you try again, use the shortest length melons you can find and start them either in a hot frame and grow there until they are about to come out of it before opening the lid or at least start the seed 2-3 weeks before you are able to set them out inside. Use sterile potting soil in pots that you make out of newspaper, wrapped about vegetable cans. plant 2-3 seeds per pot or even 4. Snip off any weak vines early on. Plant in the ground in the paper pots, without disturbing the vines. You can also place a make shift poly tunnel over them until it is well up in the 80's or they start to bloom, whichever comes first. You could also put a make shift poly tunnel over the current plant as fall sets in if you have enough fruit set to give it a couple of extra weeks to ripen.
