blueberry question
I am getting some wild blueberry bushes from a friend's cottage. They grow in this area very well. Should I plant them in my good garden or will they do better in a wild area? Do they need some shade or full sun? I have a pine forest at the edge of my property, so I think I will mulch them with the pine needles for acid.

You must have planted by now and whichever you picked has advantages. Yes, mulch with the pine needles a little this year and then several inches next year and then work up to 6-8 inches. Blueberries are shallow rooted and appreciate the mulch. They are more likely to push up new growth if properly mulched. It is best to mulch in the spring that tends to keep some of the disease issues at bay as some are soil harbored.
