Raspberry fall freeze

From an online company I ought 10 raspberry plants that werent delivered until 2 months ago. About 6 inches tall. Here in Texas we don't get real cold in the fall but not unusual to have about 5 cold snaps no more than 28 degrees at the coldest. Do raspberries need to be covered, or can they stand this temperature. Do you have any recommendations that would be easier than buckets on and off plants daily throughout the entire winter. Thanks alot.

I don't cover my plants. I will be mulching the raised bed with manure and hay. We get a few weeks of freezing and maybe some snow.

No worries. :D

Over here in the UK the largest growing region for Raspberries , and also were most of the breeding is done, is in Scotland.
So a few light frosts will have no effect on them at all. They can tolerate pretty cold weather in the winter months.
What can damage the cropping though would be spring frosts at their flowering period.
