Caring for fruit trees etc organically?

So, I was poking around another forum before I found this one and became addicted :P and I was trying to figure out how to raise my fruit trees and blueberry/raspberries organically. I know that I can use kaolin clay (surround) to keep out pests etc, but I never did get good answers of how to fertilize them organically. what do you put down for your fruit trees for fertilizer? and blueberries? what should I be mulching with?

Hi Sheeshe.

Kaolin Clay is quite effective against a battery of pests as you say...but remember that you need three or four applications at weekly intervals before it will be effective against things like Codling and Tortrix.

As to fertiliser. Any well rotted compost is good..from manure to leaf compost.
If you use manure ensure that it is kept away from the trees trunk as it can burn.

As to Blueberries. Try this site.
