cantaloupe seeds
ok we bought a cantaloupe from publix and I wanted to keep the seeds well when I cut it it was on the verge of turning will the seeds still be good to plant?

Some people will soak their seeds in water between paper towel sheets before they plant them. They do sometimes sprout, and actually grow. Pumpkin seeds can be started like this, and then planted, I did this in about 2nd grade. If you just plant the seed how it is with the growing pointy part sticking up, then it will just a have a head start.
