raspberry bushes
ok I bought a red raspberry bush last month now because of friends and neighbours I now have 4 black raspberry bushes and 8 red raspberry bushes I,m not expecting to much this year as they were all transplanted from there gardens to mine when I transplanted them I did add some sheep manure wich I hope was right I,m more use to hostas then fruit

Hi Allen,
Depending on variety you may not get any fruit this year - definately not much. This year think of training the canes and growing strong roots. Next year and later is when it pays off.
Since your brambles come from many sources watch for signs of virus - and immediately remove and haul away entire plants with virus symptoms. They're pretty tough once they get some roots going.
They like pH above 6. They like mulch. Slugs don't like them. - Complete opposites of the hostas.
