HI, I currently have a young avocado(its now just over two years old and some 5.5 feet tall) and up till now it has done all I expected it to do, dropped old leaves, sprouted new ones,added branch buds and the like. However recently I have noticed that where the oldest leaves used to be(along the entire length of the trunk) have begun to sprout new clusters of what appear to be branch buds, lots of new leaves and the like. I re potted it a month ago due to some root bound issues and it has since had a major growth spurt(over 4 inches in a month) but other than the above issue it seems happy and healthy. Is this new development normal and if so what triggered this.
Any help would be appreciated.
