Blueberries and diluted vinegar

I know that blueberries need plenty of acid in the soil to flourish, I have not had a chance to test my soil yet. While looking for a testing kit, the helpful person at the garden center of the store I went to, said that watering them with 2 Tablespoons of vinegar to 1 gallon of water would ensure the results I needed. Is this true?

Thanks,

Great! I'll be purchasing a plant ....

I love this "easy" stuff.... The whole testing and fertilizer 10-87-23-0-0-2-3 stuff gets so confusing for me ....
