FLORIDA Meyer Lemon lots of blossoms NO FRUIT

We have a 3 year old Meyer Lemon that bore TONS of fruit last year. It's planted outside and has grown and has beautiful leaves, etc. It blossomed at the usual citrus blossoming time with TONS of blossoms...but they've all fallen off and left no fruit behind. What gives? Will it blossom again?

thanks!

Stress of some type? Has it had some watering issues, lack of sun or lack of fertilizer? High nitrogen fertilizer? Frost damage to the blooms (should not be the case in Jacksonville but I am not sure if the tree bloomed as you were having cold weather months ago or not)? Have you noticed any insect pests? At worst, you can also pollinate the tree by hand or get a second one to help cross pollinate.

Well, we did have LOTS of very cold weather this year, but not while there were blossoms on the tree. We kept the tree covered during the coldest nights. The blossoms were beautiful and plentious and there were lots of bees. But when I take a good look at it, it seems that 90% of the blossoms were male. The few female blossoms that looked like they had a tiny fruit didn't last...the fruit turned yellow and fell off. Haven't noticed any pests and the tree looks very healthy. Maybe you're right about the fertilizer?

thanks
