Josh,

I'm growing my Meyers Lemon in a 50\50 mix sand and compost. My lemon is planted permently in the greenhouse. I have a friend, she owns three Meyers lemons. All of hers are in big nursery pots, maybe 30 gallon. They are in her house, south facing window, in the winter and outside on the deck all summer.

Here is my Meyers lemon. Covered with blossoms and the start of a half dozen fruit.

Josh,

I use a complete organic fertilizer. Sprinkle it around and scratch it in. You could just pee on them.

I went to cabrey today they had some of theys little sitric fertilizer that u just pop the top of and stick it into the soil which seems like a realy good idear to me, but looking on the back and it had some crazy cemicls in it so I did not buy it. dose taking a fresh pee on the plant acturly work? or dose it have to be stale or what? or are u jsut pulling my leg.

Josh,

Pee into a watering can, then fill it the rest of the way with water.

Ever see the movie, "The World's Fastest Indian" Starring Anthony Hopkins. He pee on his lemon tree eveyday. Just a movie.

Just wanted to add my 2 cents: I live in Jerusalem and I have a medium size lemon tree in a large clay pot on my open balcony. It has survived all kinds of extremes of weather - from snow and wind storms to intense sun and heatwaves. I guess it depends how large the tree is and how hardy the "species".

Good luck fruit trees are wonderful and emit great smells when they blossom!

Lemon trees that survive snow? Awesome!

Is it a particular kind of lemon? I am thinking lemon meringue pie!
