Cardamom growing from seed.. Possible?

Hi all..

I say, can anyone tell me if it's possible to grow cardamom plants from seeds bought from the market? And they're not the bleached kind, still green and all.. I was just looking through the forum and it just occurred to me to ask.. I hope it's not too silly a question, cuz I'm still getting my feet wet in trying out gardening as a hobby.. If it's possible, then can you also guide me as to how it can be done, because it's spice that's really hard to get ...

I've never tried, but what I've heard is that it can be difficult. The seed you get in the store may have been treated or may be very old. Still what to you have to lose by trying, right?
