upside down strawberries

Does anyone on this forum grow upside down strawberries? I looked at some for sale in the store in a kit and it was started from seeds. I gotta wonder if they will sprout and grow and bear decent strawberries or is this just another scam? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Strawberries are a bit tricky to grow from seeds, people usually just buy plants:

rainbowgardener, that's what I was concerned about most. I tried sprouting strawberry seeds and never had a lot of luck with them. A few would come up and then wither and die. Thanks for the information.
