Tips on North Sky Blueberries (in containers)

I didn't know if the Container forum or the Fruit forum would be
better, so opted here.

I live near Seattle (7b) and just bought 2 North Sky dwarf blueberries,
both plants to go into a VERY large pot (the size you'd put a tree in).
I know the pH needs to be around 4.5, and the nurseryman sold me
a box of Rhododendron organic fertilizer. He explained that 2-3 cups
of that, plus the acidic rain of the Northwest will make the plants
happy. The pot will have full exposure to the sun (winter as well as
summer) and also get plenty of rain all winter long.

I just want to see if there are other tips or concerns for what I'm doing.

Also, just in case it matters, the blueberries will be near my horseradish
and quite a few garlic plants, also all in very large containers. Just want
to make sure it's not an antagonistic proximity placement.

Thanks!

Dave

The blueberries have an extensive network of fine surface roots which are damaged by digging around near them. So I don't think the garlic would be a good companion plant, because you have to dig the roots out to harvest it. Strawberries like acidic soil and might be a better choice to plant with it. Or you could just let them have the container to themselves.

When you said "near" I wasn't clear if that was in the same container. If they are in a separate container, it doesn't matter how close they are.
