What would cause apples that are still on the tree to split...they have been fine up to now...and the sides of a lot of the apples are splitting??Any ideas??
Though I haven't heard of apples doing this, a period of drought followed by sudden massive amount of watering (rain or irrigation) causes many fruits to split.
