Spittlebugs on strawberry plants!!

How can I get rid of these bugs without spraying a pesticide-I have been trying to stay away from doing that as I like to be able to eat them right out of the garden as do my kids

It is a romatic idea to eat fruit and veggies straight from the garden, but what about the 'things' you cannot see. Animal urine, feces, bird poo, bacteria...

It's probably best to wash everything you harvest from your garden prior to eating it.

Ooh thanks alot Julie LOL, just ruined my dreams of picking fruit and veggys right from my garden and taking a bite.

Some of the little bugs will just rinse off with a hose, neem oil also seems to work. Read this link about neem oil and see what you think.

I use neem oil for almost all my bug problems and it seems to work really good.
