rose slugs/sawfly larvae on raspberry leaves!

Yikes! :shock: I didn't notice until they were pretty much all over them and these are newly planted raspberries -- can't afford to lose many leaves. I've had them on strawberries in the past too. I've been hand picking them (not easy with these thorny leaves), but does anybody know an easier way that's organic? I tried spraying the extra kaolin clay/Surround and milk solution on the raspberries, but they seem undeterred (at least this will help keep the stressed leaves from getting diseased....)

I did have an idea -- since these buggers curl up and jump off when you're trying to peek under the leaves, would it work to spread a sheet/tarp under the plants and just shake them? I guess I'll give it a try in the morning, but I wonder if anyone has tried.... :?:
