have a question about my strawberry

I found wild strawberries behind my house (fragaria virginiana I believe) which is supposed to be fairly small. Then I transplanted it in a pot and next year it was a lot bigger

Before I transplanted-

Is it possible it cross pollinated some how last year?

Edit- was really tired when I made this post and it sounded boastful(which was unintended) so I tried to fix that. I honestly want to know if it cross pollinated some how.
