Look at my Red Japanese Maple, problems?

Greets all!

I am very much a novice at this whole thing, so this is my first post and first attempt at gaining knowledge. I appreciate any help you might have.

I bought my first tree yesterday, as I was approaching it I swear I heard something small and red calling my name - it was surely meant to be. I bought this tree hoping to plant it in my backyard and have it be the first part of what will slowly evolve into my Japanese garden.

So here's what it looks like

And here's a close up of one of the newer leaves up top, nice and healthy.

Nut notice the leaves down below look a little odd. Here's a close up of one of those leaves.

Now I realize it's been sitting in a nursery for awhile so it hasn't seen any real tlc I'm sure, but is anything wrong with it. Anything I need to do? I was considering leaching the soil it doesn't look like it needs fertilizer and I don't see any burning but the leaves look a little well, salty?

Be easy on me, I'm new to all for this but am eager to learn and do what's right. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
The first photo is of the new leaves they will turn in colour to the second photo as this is an older leaf, I don't think judging by the photo's that anything is wrong, just keep the soil moist but not wet and you should be allright.

Yay! Thanks for your response I was hoping nothing was wrong and from the sounds of it nothing is so - yay! I planted it in the backyard today, leaving room for what will eventually be a teahouse off in the corner.

I hope it stays happy, I love the colors of the red maples.

Even my plain green one changes leaf colors as the leaf matures :D It starts out bright red and then goes completely green. I love it!
