Book Recommendations?

I am looking for a large, colour-illustrated book or series of books, that explains the general, historic principles of the varoius forms of Japanese garden.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Many thanks in anticipation

Lee, what you are looking for may be:
Japanese Gardens. Günter Nitschke by Benedikt Taschen, ISBN 3-8228-0556-4. It is beautiful book with quality information and photos.
It is a weighty 300 page book that I am using as a reference for many years already. If I need background or a refresh, this is it.
For additional recommendations see the Literature section on https://www.karesansui.nl.

Enjoy, Piet
