acer keeps drying up
when I first bought my acer it was a lovely blood red colour, now after 2 months the leaves keep drying up and dying as if it is autume
I have had the same problem with almost all my acer palmatums, the first year they wont keep their leaves for very long, even though the stay in shaded locations and get lots of water. But I have two "year two" maples, which are thriving! So keep give them water, and they will most certainly return next year!
Acers aren't very resistent towards sun, and combine that with limited roots... it might get problems transporting enough water to the leaves.
Have faith!
