Pyrancantha roots
Does anybody know if a Pyrancantha (or Firethorn) can live if the main root has been broken? We were doing some remodeling around the house and the root got severely bent, and possibly broken...

When root(s) are dameged, cut roots clean. Leaving wounded roots take long time to heal , invitation to many other problems.
Prune some branchs which reduce amount of water loss from leave, and spray wax may be also should consider.
Only one or two main root are dameged but rest of roots are heathly, then Your pyracantha will be ok. light feeding of fertilizer also help.
