Hi,
Have you ever thought about building a Japanese style bridge for your garden, the link below shows you the bridge I built for my Japanese garden with photo's from start to finish of it, I hope you enjoy and build one for yourself,
George.

Lovely job George. I especially like the way the rail stands out in the garden; the wood is a bright accent...

Why do you slow the curing process? Any additions to the cement mix? I have seen fibre and extruded rubber for colder area mixes; might there be any benefit for those of us with more extreme winters?

The final shot of the garden is beautiful, and the fish look huge...

Hi Scott,
The drying process is slowed down to prevent it drying out to quick as if it dries out quickly it could crack, and yes I suppose you could add fibres to the mix but not being a bricklayer and only a DIYer I don't know for sure.
As You can edit posts and I cannot can you change the main title the second word should be OF and not (F.

Done.

The fiber is also made to prevent cracking especially in frost sensitive areas (does a number on smooth cement surfaces)...
