Hi
I have had planted for about 4 months a 4 year old Japanese Acer ( Acer Palmatum Tamukeyama) and over the past few weeks the leaves have been going brown and dried on the tips.
It is in shade and only gets sun in the evenings I have added some pics to show how it is, and I was wondering if it is dead or if this is common and can be saved.

Hi John,
Acers need acidic soil, go to your local garden centre and buy a bag of erracacious compost and mix this in with the soil and replant your acer, in the growing months keep the soil moist BUT NOT WET they also prefer dappled shade the browning of the leaves coild be a bit of wind scorch if it is in a windy position.
