scleranthus

Two years ago I decided to relpace my tiny front lawn with fine gravel and scleranthus. It is not practical to have a true Japanese garden in this spot, but I wanted to nod in that direction anyway.

Moss grows where I don't want it, and not where I do. THe scleranthus is meant to look like moss. It kind of humps and hollws and scrambles over rocks. I like it, but it's taking a long time to spread. Does anyone else have any experience of it?

BTW, I live in SW England. It never gets very cold here or very warm. It rains a lot.
