Can anyone suggest a good shrub to train into a cloud bush in a shady spot? I was thinking of an evergreen Berberis as I've got one there and it grows well but unfortunatly has too many stems. Can you recommend an oriental looking Berberis, or indeed any other suitable shrub?
Thanks!

I found this on the following website.

It seems that you can remove the unwanted branches from your berberis. It looks to be quite an artwork!
Good luck

'Follow the natural shape of the plant, removing selected laterals and exposing main stems. Leave the branch ends untouched, later trimming them into stylised cloud shapes to show off the main stems below.'
