House Wrens

Suddenly my yard has been taken over by house wrens. No matter were I walk I encounter one of these small birds flying out of the bushes or scolding me from the lower branches of trees.

Are they a good addition to my yard? I've read they can be aggressive and puncture other birds eggs. I don't have any bird houses but usually have robin, cardinal and catbirds nests tucked among vines in arbors.

I've heard they will do this on occasion but only to eggs in next boxes that are in close proximity to theirs. I don't believe I've ever read or been told this behavior is a cause for concern other than to place wren next boxes 100' away from next boxes provided for other species. Would love to know what you learn about this.
