Cardinal in the sage
Looked out, and there was a red male (redundant?!) cardinal in the sage (culinary) on the deck. Plant total about 2". I let it bloom as it is pretty and the pollinators like it, and usually cut the long (past) bloom stems back to let new growth explode for harvesting. This one past prime for bloom, and the bird nibbling on the seeds. There are several sage plants going, and now taking a different perspective on blooms, and past prime. Of course should get a few seeds for my own starts.
