Will critters eat onions?

I have a terrible time with deer and bunnies, so have fortified my garden with fence and electric wire.

However, I ordered too many onion sets to fit inside my garden fortress and would like to plan them elsewhere. Have you had critters eat your onions before? Will they be safe outside my electrified and fenced in fort?

Ha! Deal! :D

Thanks for the feedback - out off the "fortress" and into the yard they'll go!

I grew some sweet onions last year and some one took a few bites out of some of them.

"Sweet" = Vidalia type? Maui yellow onions?

I'm trying to think of what might fit between the plants in my new 4'x8' container I'm renting from the City; it has a southern exposure! Warm soil! :D
