My Flower Jungle, wildlife paradise!

Here are a few photos of what I call my flower jungle this year. You would not believe the wildlife that is associated with this wild and unruly tangle of flowers and native vegetation.

Beautiful, beautiful! Almost makes me want to give up my hot sticky Florida summer for your hot sticky South Carolina summer.

Thanks for sharing.

Are you really not going to tell us about all the wildlife, so we can disbelieve? :)

Rainbowgardener, not any big impressive wildlife. But the multitude of bees, butterflies, spiders, various predators,....... The space is simply teaming with critters. It is hard not to re-experience a childlike joy of seeing so many different kinds of creatures, each with its own special adaptation, living its in its niche which serves as playground, food source, and mate attractant. We do have the humming bird visitors to the flowers and also numerous birds which are attracted to the insect population. Just today I noticed some deer damage, hopefully they will mostly stay away!

I most certainly do believe the amount of wildlife you have..as we have similar situation here and with acres of overflowing jungles of plants, you always see something moving..or hear it.

here are some photos that were taken a couple months ago..before it got so wild you can't hardly walk through..no pictures for august yet..but I'm now starting to think about chopping back some of the jungle to use the plants for mulch..love when your garden provides you excess so you can have mulch.

also the food forest now is more than head high and so thick you can hardly walk through..but it was just a baby food forest in the photos..just barely coming up
