A NEW MOTH! I've no idea except I think it's a Sphinx moth but it's beautiful

ETA: It appears to be a member of Tiger Moth family called Clymene Moth (Haploa clymene) -- larval hosts are Eupatorium species, oaks, peach, and willow trees. https://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species?l=3677

A Garden Spider with zigzag in the web (people have posted them before, but this is the first one I've seen one in my garden. I've been watching it grow in my Yellow Pencil Pod beans for a while now and it and its web has doubled in size:

What she said on both points. I have looked at that last pic several times but all I see is a bunch of debris.

If I see it again, I'll try to get more photos.

About the Tiger/Clymene Moth - Haploa clymene, it wasn't listed for my county, so I reported it. If they confirm my ID add it to their database, this will make a 2nd previously unreported sighting in my backyard (the other one was a False Crocus Geometer Moth - Xanthotype urticaria) ...for all I know, it doesn't really mean much, but *I*ll know they colored in my county blue after I reported seeing it in my garden!

Bumping this thread to report that I saw another Tiger/Clymene Moth in my garden a couple of days ago. So cool looking!

Also, now I know that the third photo above is a Squash Bug -- oh yes I do!

And that yellow and black spider had offspring that decided to stay and join my Garden Patrol, so I have quite a few of them weaving their gorgeous webs around the garden. They are funny because if I get too close and disturb them, they bounce on their zigzag/lightning bolt decorated webs like trampolines to try to intimidate you.

It is such a beautiful moth... I've never seen anything like it (and I do have Joe Pye weed, eupatorium in my garden).
